As a company Clear Links Support Ltd is conscious of, and committed to, the need to minimise waste, encourages re-use of resources where possible and recycle materials in order to reduce the impact on the environment.
Clear Links Support Ltd engages in the recycling of office waste paper, cardboard, electrical & electronic equipment, toner cartridges, cans, plastics, batteries and glass.
Clear Links Support Ltd:
We comply with the guidelines set out by Defra, where it is possible to do so, on the recycling and disposal of waste electrical and electronic equipment. We continue to review our policy and make appropriate changes and improvements where necessary to follow the current guidelines.
Clear Links Support Ltd is registered as an Electrical and Electronic Equipment Producer and conforms to all parts of the EU Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive.
Clear Links Support Ltd belongs to a national WEEE Recycling Scheme whereby we report to the Environment Agency about all our waste equipment. On a day to day basis we take control of our own recycling to make sure the providers we use meet our requirements. We use a local firm to recycle our electrical waste.
We offer an in-store take back scheme, whereby clients may bring back to us for recycling any unwanted electrical waste previously produced by Clear Links Support Ltd. We feel this meets the needs of our clients more conveniently, as the alternative for the client could be a take back scheme which they may not be able to access because of distance or transport.
Under guidelines from the WEEE Directive we will also take away any electrical equipment produced after 2005 which we are replacing on a like for like basis. (For example when supplying a computer which is to replace a two year old model the engineer will take the older model away if necessary and it will be recycled.)
