Support Worker Application and Registration Process
Steps to applying and registering
Below are the five steps outlining the application and registration process. Please read these steps and then click on the "Apply Now" box to be taken to the application form.
Please note: To apply you must be aged 18 or over.
As part of this process you are required to read and accept the Terms of Engagement for Support Workers which constitute a contract for services between Clear Links and the Support Worker. By applying on Clear Links’ website, accepting the Assignment Confirmation or commencing the provision of the Services (whichever is earliest) the Support Worker is deemed to have accepted the Terms in their entirety. When your application has been submitted you will receive an automated email explaining what will happen next.
Your application is passed on to one of our Support Supervisors, who arrange support for our Clients. They will consider your skills, qualifications and experience, and they will decide which roles may be suitable for you.
Outlined below are the potential outcomes regarding your application:
A. We feel that you have the skills, qualifications and experience for one or more of our roles and we currently have work available in your area. We will take up your references and then contact you to register for work.
Your details are added to our database.
B. We feel that you have the skills, qualifications and experience for one or more of our roles but do not currently have work available in your area. As we may have further support assignments in the near future, we will add your details to our database and take up your references. This is to enable us to be in a position to offer you any future work that may arise. Please note we will only contact you should work become available.
Your details are added to our database.
C. We feel that you have the skills, qualifications and experience for one or more of our roles. However, we currently have sufficient numbers of Support Workers with the appropriate skills, experience and qualifications to ensure that all support assignments, both now and in the immediate future, are covered. We will contact you by letter to explain that we are unable to add your details to our database. We will advise you that you are welcome to apply again in the future as our requirements may change and further work may become available.
Your details are not added to our database.
D. We feel that you have the skills, qualifications and experience for one or more of our roles. However, we currently do not have any work available in the area you have specified in your application and are unlikely to in the near future. We will contact you by letter to explain that we are unable to add your details to our database. We will advise you that you are welcome to apply again in the future as our requirements may change and work may become available in your area.
Your details are not added to our database.
E. If we feel that your skills, qualifications and experience do not match any of the support roles for which we recruit in your area, we will contact you by letter to explain that we are unable to add your details to our database.
Your details are not added to our database.
If we add you to our database and currently have work available we will invite you to register with us. The registration process involves meeting with Clear Links representatives within your local area to check that you are eligible to work in the UK and that you are suitable for a particular role.
If you are invited to a meeting with our representatives you will be required to bring all necessary documentation.
At this stage you will be asked to:
Have a short meeting with Clear Links representatives to inform you about Clear Links Working Practices and so that all documentation can be scanned and any information missing from your on-line application can be updated.
For the Note Taker role only: You will be asked to complete a handwriting assessment at the meeting to determine whether your handwriting meets the required standards for the role of Note Taker.
Once you have attended the meeting to complete your registration process with Clear Links, and we feel you are suitable for a particular role, you are immediately considered to be eligible for work, subject to the receipt of two satisfactory references.
Your details will be stored on our database. We store this information to enable us to contact you and pay you. Your skills, qualifications and experience are used to match you with one of our Clients. Working with Clear Links requires you to complete an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau disclosure and Clear Links will discuss this with you when it is appropriate.
Once you are matched with a Client, Clear Links is your first point of contact for any queries. We provide all paperwork and documentation, including role descriptions, role guidance and time sheets. Our Terms of Engagement constitute a contract for services between Clear Links and a Support Worker and they govern all Services undertaken by the Support Worker. However, no contract shall exist between Clear Links and the Support Worker between assignments. You will be paid via our payroll. We are required to make statutory deductions from remuneration including, if applicable, National Insurance contributions, Income Tax and any other deductions required by law.
