Clear Links CRB Statement
A Disclosure is the term used to describe the service provided by the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) and the document issued when a CRB check has been completed.
Clear Links meets the requirements in respect of exempted questions under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and all of our agency workers are subject to an Enhanced Disclosure check from the Criminal Records Bureau. This will include details of cautions, reprimands, final warnings and convictions.
Clear Links expects all agency workers to have an enhanced CRB Disclosure through Clear Links and for the disclosure to be less than 3 years old. Clear Links arranges this and we comply fully with the CRB Code of Practice. Workers CRB status will be reviewed once per academic year.
We currently use a Registered Umbrella Body called Due Diligence Checking (www.ddc.uk.net) for the process and Clear Links pays the cost of the disclosure.
The disclosure of previous convictions will not necessarily result in the rejection of an applicant or agency worker. We will discuss any matter revealed in a disclosure with the applicant or agency worker.
