The term 'Data' in this context refers to information about users of Clear Links' services. This statement explains Clear Links' policy with regard to why information is collected, and the use and storage of that information.
Clear Links will only keep individual data for the period of the legal obligation to do so. Clear Links may contact service users from time to time to monitor and assess the quality of services.

What Data does Clear Links collect?
Data is collected from an individual when they register for one of Clear Links’ services – for the provision of support, for assignments as a Support Worker or for the supply and maintenance of Assistive Technology.
How does Clear Links use Data?
Support Service Clients
Clear Links uses data to find the most appropriate Support Worker to match an individual Client’s requirements.
Support Workers
Clear Links uses data to find the most appropriate assignments to match the individual worker’s qualifications and skills.
Assistive Technology Clients
Clear Links uses data to deliver, maintain and support an individual Client’s Assistive Technology equipment and software.
Data will not be made public or available to other people or organisations apart from those involved in the provision of support, of work assignments or of Assistive Technology.
In accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 data in relation to the provision of support, of work assignments or of Assistive Technology will not be stored for longer than is necessary.
Acceptance of Clear Links' Data Protection Policy
A Client is deemed to have accepted Clear Links’ Data Protection Policy when the Client registers with Clear Links, requests the services of a Support Worker from Clear Links, accepts the Support Worker’s services or by signing a time sheet, whichever is the earliest.
A Worker is deemed to have accepted Clear Links’ Data Protection Policy when the Worker registers with Clear Links, accepts an Assignment Confirmation from Clear Links or commences the provision of Services to a Client, whichever is the earliest.
- Assistive Technology Clients
A Client is deemed to have accepted Clear Links' Data Protection Policy when the Client completes the registration form or accepts a delivery from Clear Links.
Access to Data
A Client or Worker has the right to see their individual data held by Clear Links in order to correct any inaccuracies. A copy of data can be obtained by request
