CRB Disclosure

A Disclosure is a document containing information held by the police and government departments. As Clear Links Support Ltd meets the requirements in respect of exempted questions under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, applicants who are offered certain assignments will be subject to an Enhanced Disclosure check from the Criminal Records Bureau. This will include details of cautions, reprimands or final warnings, as well as convictions. The disclosure of previous convictions will not necessarily result in the rejection of the application.

If you are required to apply for an Enhanced CRB Disclosure we will discuss the procedure with you. We currently use a Registered Umbrella Body for this process which means that there is an administration charge (currently £16+vat) in addition to the cost of the disclosure.

From 6 April 2006 the cost of an Enhanced Disclosure is £36.00 and will be payable by you.

Please note: Not all work roles will require a CRB check; this will be discussed with you if and when appropriate.

From September 2007 Clear Links Support Ltd will expect all workers who require an enhanced CRB disclosure to have obtained this through Clear Links Support Ltd and for the issue date to be less than 24 months old.
