| Note Taker | To take comprehensive notes on behalf of the client, in the format required by the client, reviewing and making notes accessible prior to handover. | Good standard of education; clear and legible handwriting; accurate spelling and grammar. |
| Proof Reader | To proof read, and indicate errors, in relation to spelling, organisation and structure, but not academic content. | Degree or equivalent. |
| Reader | To read relevant material out loud to the client; to record readings onto tape or minidisk as requested. | Good standard of education. Clear reading voice. |

| Learning Support Tutor Support and Guidance Mentor Specialist Support Tutor | To provide one-to-one support where additional input is required in relation to the impact of the client's condition or impairment on academic progress or work related accomplishment. To act as a mentor by assisting the development of organisational skills, agreeing work targets and focusing on academic or work related progress. | Degree or equivalent. Relevant postgraduate qualification (e.g. counselling skills certificate). |
| Dyslexia Support Tutor | To provide individual study skills support to dyslexic clients. | Degree or equivalent. Full Teaching Certificate or equivalent. Certificate in Teaching People with Specific Learning Difficulties. |
